The Yaesu FT-1500M is a compact, high power 2 Meter FM Transceiver. This radio is only 5 inches wide and under 1.5 inches high! CTCSS encode/decode are built-in. Receive coverage is 137-174 MHz. Power output is: 50/25/10/5 watts. This radio has 130 alphanumeric memories. A 6 pin mini-DIN jack provides for a quick TNC connection. It has a very rugged aluminum die-cast shell construction that dissipates heat throughout the entire transceiver chassis and eliminates the need for a cooling fan. The supplied MH-48A6J DTMF hand mic is backlit and had three programmable buttons. Direct frequency entry from the hand mic is supported. The mobile mount is supplied with the radio. It is only 5 x 1.4 x 5 inches in size and only weighs 2.2 Lbs (127x35x126 mm @ 1 kg). This is the 2-Meter rig I use at the house, but I will be honest with you, since I moved to my new house over five years ago, it has not been out of the box. I just do not operate 2 meter FM at the house.
