I bought my AnyTone D878UV Plus radio in September 2019 from BridgeCom Systems in Smithville, MO. I did not buy the option to have the DMR Codeplug already configured. I wanted to learn how to configure the Codeplug myself. I will admit that there is a learning curve to properly configuring a good Codeplug, but that was part of the experience for me to learn. After learning about Zones, Channels, Talk Groups, Scan Lists, etc. and learning the sequence to do each one, it clicked very quickly. BridgeCom is a very proactive vendor and has great customer support. Through my ZUMspot Hotspot it has better audio that my other digital radios. It was easier to configure in the Pi-Star software, also. I would recommend this radio to anyone, but you must remember it is not a mode that you can take it out of the box and start operating. The CPS (Customer Programming Software) is easy to use and it is very stable, also. You just have to remember to Read the config from the radio first, then make any changes and Write them to the radio, making sure you are on the right Com Port.
